On Sunday, December 19th at 10:30am, Wellspring is going to have a party on the parking lot. Join us for Christmas music, a bounce house for the children, an amazing brisket meal, a cookie exchange, and a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Bring a lawn chair and your favorite cookies to share. At 10:30am we’ll worship together and then party and eat at 11am. Make sure you dress warm because Sunday is actually suppose to feel a little like winter (unlike today’s high of 77). To help keep the chill off, we’ll also have hot coffee and cocoa.
Also, our women will have a special Christmas brunch on December 18th at 9:30am. Women of all ages are welcome! That will take place at Carolyn Barry’s home at 7010 Chianti Court, Rowlett, TX 75088. If you have any questions feel free to call or text her at 214-755-1127.

DAILY WORD FOR DECEMBER 15
Have you ever felt like your prayers and godly service have no impact on the world around you? It may be comforting to know that even the greatest prophets in history had moments of frustration and discouragement. Isaiah wondered if his whole life’s work had been useless. Elijah came to a point of just wanting to die. Moses popped with anger and pounded his rod on a rock. They were all human, just like you and me; and they all had moments of questioning, “Are my prayers and service making a difference?”
The answer is always, “Yes!” God responds to Isaiah’s question by telling him that his obedience will have an impact on the ends of the earth. Your commitment to God and your obedience have reverberations of which you are not aware. Revelation 5:8 says that in heaven there are “gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.” Gold bowls are reserved for holding things of great value. Incense is powerful and pervasive in its heavy cloud of aroma. Your prayers are valuable and pleasurable and of great affect in heaven and the world. They transform the atmosphere. In the natural, your faithfulness to God may appear useless and to no purpose; but beyond what you can see with your own eyes, wonderful things are occurring and accruing as your reward.
Trust God. As faithful as you think you’ve been, He is more and perfectly faithful. There is great use in your obedience. The prayers of God’s agents are effective and prevail much (James 5:16). Daniel was encouraged by an angel who said that since the first day Daniel began to pray his request was heard, but the angel was in warfare with demonic forces for twenty-one days. Trust God that when you obey Him, serve Him, and pray to Him, things of great importance and influence are happening. Keep going! Even what appears small to you, if done in faith carries the multiplying power of God. Someday the Lord will reward you by introducing you to the lives and nations and generations that your simple service profoundly and eternally affected.
