December 30, 2020

When you enter the land and plant fruit trees, leave the fruit unharvested for the first THREE YEARS and consider it forbidden. Do not eat it. In the FOURTH YEAR the entire crop must be consecrated to the LORD as a celebration of praise. Finally, in the FIFTH YEAR you may eat the fruit. If you follow this pattern, your harvest will increase. I am the LORD your God.” – Leviticus 19:23-25 [New Living Translation]

2021 is the FIFTH YEAR for Wellspring and we’re ready eat the fruit! In faith, we’re leaping into a year of celebration. We’ve followed the pattern, the harvest is coming, and it’s time to party! Is your faith ready for 2021?

The first full week of every year we set aside for an annual fast. In 2021 we believe God has called us to do things a little differently. We’re still going to dedicate the week to seeking and hearing God by turning off the noise of the world and setting aside extra time for reading His word and praying. We’re still going to each individually ask God for a prophetic word for ourselves in this coming year. We’re not going to press into Him any less than before, BUT there will be one big difference. We’re not fasting from food. Instead we’re going to make every meal a celebration of God and our spiritual family.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. – Psalm 23:5 [New Living Translation]

The Lord has prepared a table for us in 2021 and He is inviting us to feast. Even in the presence of our enemies, we are to rest and celebrate. Even in the face of every evil thing being communicated and spread through social media and the news, we will sit at our Father God’s table where He is longing to honor His sons and daughters, to give them a special anointing, and to bless them. Sit down and celebrate.

For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! – Isaiah 64:4 [New Living Translation]

God is making an invitation to us, His children, to sit and celebrate at His table. He wants us to cease from our fretting and fighting and to now wait upon Him. He will do the work. Sit and celebrate! Every meal next week, set another place at the table and dedicate that place to the Lord. Allow this to be a reminder that He has invited you to the table and He is with you. Make every conversation around that table a conversation that praises God and speaks words of faith for the coming year. Every opportunity this next week invite a brother or sister from your spiritual family to join you and dedicate that time to your Father. This is what the first week of 2021 will look like for Wellspring.

We’re not planning a lot of special meetings throughout the week, but get intentional now and start inviting people to join you at the table. Starting Sunday, January 3rd, every meal is a party with Father. The evening of Friday, January 8th, we plan to meet for outside worship together. Then on Sunday, January 10th, we’ll share testimonies from the week and our individual words for 2021.

His love is better than life!
Matt
