January 6, 2021

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. – Psalm 23:5 [New Living Translation]

2021 is the year of celebrating the harvest. This means the entire focus of this year is enjoying and rejoicing in all that God provides for the year, regardless of whatever evil label the world tries to smack on the year. Regardless of what’s going on in the world around us, this is our 2021 mission.

The first full week of every year we set aside for an annual fast. In 2021 we believe God has called us to do things a little differently. We’re still dedicating this week to seeking and hearing God by turning off the noise of the world and setting aside extra time for reading His word and praying. We’re still asking God for a prophetic word for ourselves in this coming year. We’re still pressing into Him more intentionally and intensely, BUT we’re not fasting from food. Instead we’re making every meal a celebration of our Father God and our spiritual family. 2021 is the year of eating the fruit, celebrating the harvest, and by faith feasting on God’s goodness.

Last weekend the Lord told me that in this harvest season of 2021 God’s presence is going to lead you safely through the flood. You’re not going to be clinging to Him like a life preserver, choking and soaked to the bone by the rising waters. In His vicinity, the flood will become a desert crossing.

“Remain with Me and I’ll lead you through the flood. As you sit at My table and wait in My presence, you will remain on completely dry ground. I am your celebration, your provision, your rest, and your safety. Feast at My table in 2021.” – The Lord Your God

On Friday, January 8th, we plan to meet for worship together at my house. If you’re interested in joining us, send me a message and I’ll give you more details. Then on Sunday, January 10th, we’ll share our individual words for 2021. Each of us is believing for a word and a scripture for the year. Each person (including children) will write their 2021 word on a piece of paper and write their scripture on the back. We’ll take turns very briefly sharing our word and scripture while we feast on a smorgasbord of various goodies from the Kolache Factory.

I really love our Wellspring family. I’ve been so encouraged to see what God has been doing in each person’s life. The Lord makes all things beautiful and His favorable growth in our lives is glorious!

His love is better than life!
