In Mark 16, Jesus is resurrected from the dead. Remember that he had repeatedly told His followers what to expect, that He would be crucified and would rise from the dead on the third day. In verse 11, Mary Magdalene sees resurrected Jesus. She runs to tell the disciples, but they would not believe. In verses 12 and 13, He appears to two disciples as they’re walking in the countryside. They go back and tell the other disciples, but again they would not believe. Finally, Jesus shows up and rebukes them for their unbelief.
Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.
Mark 16:14 ESV
Some of our young people experienced Jesus in wonderful ways last week. This past Saturday, I asked them to each briefly share with us something they received for themselves and something that they received for the church family (watch the video by clicking on the image above). We, the other church members, intentionally prepared and softened our hearts to believe so that we could receive together with them. After they spoke, they led us in worship, but it wasn’t long before they put down their instruments and mics and went out into the congregation to lay hands on the members of the church, praying for them, prophesying over them, and releasing impartation into their lives. It was a wonderful move of God!
