Wellspring will not be meeting this coming Saturday evening. But I’d like to encourage all of our adults to join us on Sunday evening for a special event hosted by Restore Ministry, one of our ministry partners.
Restore Ministry is hosting guest speaker Monica Cline at 6pm on Sunday, October 16th. Monica is a former Title X (family planning) Training Manager and volunteer educator for Planned Parenthood. Her career in HIV prevention education, comprehensive sex education (CSE) and Title X training lasted over a decade. During that time, she thrived as an accomplished consultant, trainer and public speaker. Over time she began questioning the ideas behind what she was teaching. Her questions were not welcomed by her superiors and she was told that she no longer belonged there.
Now Monica boldly exposes the truth behind comprehensive sex education and the harm it causes our children, families and community. Her goal is to encourage parents to “Reclaim Parenthood” and become their children’s greatest advocates and educators. She accomplishes this by equipping families with the resources and skills necessary to strengthen family trust and confidence.
There has never been a time when gathering together and speaking on this topic has been more critical. This event is taking place at the same location where we meet for Wellspring Live: Freedom Place, 4111 Main Street, Rowlett, Texas 75088. October 22nd at 5pm will be our first official Wellspring Live. Make sure you mark your calendar and plan to be a few minutes early. Children’s ministry will be available during the message. We’re going to have a wonderful time together!
