A Nation Birthed from Revival Fire
On Sunday special guest Dr. Eddie Hyatt shared an important message on how the United States of America was birthed from the fires of revival and reformation. Dr. Hyatt has experienced revival fire repeatedly in his own life and he’s written many books, including one titled “Fire on the Earth”. He’s also written books on the history of the Spirit-empowered church, books on the history of the United States, and he and his wife, Dr. Susan Hyatt, have written incredible books about how women have helped shape Christianity, spread the Gospel, and lead revivals throughout history. July will be Wellspring’s “Women on Fire”. We’re having Debbie Countryman, Luna Neese, Melody Cook, Sally Pearson, and Stephanie Armstrong preaching. As I prayed for them this week, Psalm 29:7 jumped out at me.
The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
Psalm 29:7 ESV
The Hebrew literally says, “The voice of Yahweh divides the flames of fire.” Acts 2:3-4 says, “And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” The fire that fell on the believers during Pentecost was the voice of God coming upon them and flowing from them. I’m believing that the voice of Yahweh is going to flow through these mighty women of God, flashing forth flames of fire!
As the world calls for fear and control, the Spirit of God is bringing a match to the party. And He is fully intending to light things up. Are you preparing yourself?
