THIS IS A TEST
In Wellspring we’ve been learning about hedges and boundaries. This has all been building towards this coming Sunday’s lesson on issuing divine restraining orders. God is calling His Kingdom agents to operate in a higher level of authority. He is beckoning us to grow up into a higher role in interacting with this world.
The past four years in the United States, we’ve had a very strong bulldozer in the executive position. This has been a period of stirring up the swamp and has also been a prophetic illustration for how God has been stirring up His church. The next move in our federal government will be a strong justice system. The next move in the church is for God’s children to step into their roles in the heavenly court system.
God desires to promote you and I into greater roles of spiritual authority, no longer making requests but instead issuing orders. This promotion is being preceded by a test. Will we seek His will and His way above all else? Will we mute the world and listen to Him? When we hear Him, will we stand firm on His word no matter what?
“Not my will, but Yours, be done.”
Remember our previous lesson? In order to have legal power to issue divine restraining orders, you must operate within divine restraint. Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth, the spiritual and the natural, and He’s raising up delegates who are living completely surrendered to Him and totally loyal to His Kingdom, who will march according to His famous words in the Garden of Gethsemane – “Not my will, but Yours, be done!” He is looking for the faithful to whom He can delegate greater authority in bringing Kingdom to earth through the heavenly court system. And this time, right here and right now, with everything going on around us… THIS IS A TEST. What we do right now is very important. How we steward our time and attention right now is very important. How we engage the Word and how we diligently pray right now is very important. How we guard our hearts and our ears right now is very important. What comes out of our mouths right now is very important. Promotion is being preceded by this present proving ground.
We have a little more than a month and a half left in 2020, our Year of Sacrificial Praise. Let’s go out louder and even more zealous than we started. I know I’m not alone when I say I can feel the creeping of 2020 exhaustion around the edges of my life, but I will praise all the louder. I will pray all the harder. I will run into my quiet space with my Father God and I will jump from my kneeling position when He strengthens me. Come on, family of God!!! The harvest celebration is just over the horizon! It’s just nearly here!
His love is better than life!
