This morning I was looking through my daily journal, reviewing a few of the entries from this past year. It’s very encouraging to see a written record of how God has worked in my life and in Wellspring. Things haven’t turned out quite the way that I envisioned, yet I am full of wonder in God’s wisdom and faithful guidance.

As I mentioned in last week’s email, in January of each year, we have our annual fast during which we intentionally set aside extra time each day of the week to seek the heart of God. During this time, the Lord gives each and every member of Wellspring a special “theme word” for the coming year. My word was “timely”, and as I look back on 2019 I see over and over again God bringing things into being at the perfect time.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. — 1 Peter 5:6-7 NLT

At the RIGHT TIME… God cares about you and He is moving on your behalf in ways you can’t even imagine. There were and are things in our lives that we could feel justified to worry and be concerned about, but God says, “Surrender and trust.” Looking back, that was the theme of my 2019 tale of wonder. The list is too long for this email, but I’ll share a few of God’s timely appointments on Sunday.

Come prepared to share your 2019 word and how you saw that word operating in your life over the past year. If you weren’t with us at the beginning of 2019 and/or you don’t have a word, just come and experience the wonder of hearing how God moved in others’ lives. Someone else’s word for 2019 just may be your word for 2020.
