Forgive & Overcome

โ€ฌโ€ฌ Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.

2 Corinthiansโ€ฌ โ€ญ2โ€ฌ:โ€ญ10โ€ฌ-โ€ญ11โ€ฌ โ€ญESV

Unforgiveness creates access points in our lives for satanic agendas. When we harbor unforgiveness, we step into offense that wraps around our lives like a steel trap, keeping us vulnerable to enemy harassment and oppression. Once trapped, weโ€™re wide open for the assaults of sickness, poverty, depression, and everything from the demonic realm. There is only one way to pull that trap open and be free: forgive.

Paul says, โ€œwhat I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake.โ€ Sometimes we donโ€™t forgive for ourselves but for the benefit of others. Paul may have had nothing in his heart to forgive, but he saw the potential for others to be shipwrecked by unforgiveness, so he acted on their behalves. I will forgive in order to help you forgive, that we may all walk in freedom and victory.

Is Holy Spirit revealing any unforgiveness in your heart? Is He revealing potential unforgiveness in your home, work, or community? Where He has set your boundaries, Heโ€™s also given you authority to release forgiveness. Get in the presence of Christ and forgive.
