YOUR WALK IN JESUS SHOULD HAVE A BOUNCE!
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7 ESV
ABOUND in thanksgiving! Your walk in Jesus should have a bounce. You should have a bounce in your step that is thanksgiving. And your thanksgiving doesn’t derive from your arriving. How can you be thankful even while you’re still walking and building in the challenge? How did Jesus sleep in the storm? He knew He’d get to His destination. Faith allows you to rest and celebrate before you finish or arrive, it allows you to be thankful in the journey.
As we approach Thanksgiving and then wrap up 2022, check your step and add a bounce. Don’t drag through the holidays or crawl into the new year. Continually think on the things for which you are thankful including the challenges and the things that you haven’t seen come into full fruition. Stay rooted in Jesus so that you will continue growing. Hold fast to your faith so that you can take big steps without stumbling. As you remain thankful, you’ll experience a new lightness come into your daily walk. ABOUND in thanksgiving!
I am so thankful for the Lord’s continued faithfulness towards me, my family, and Wellspring. I’m thankful for the incredible people who have partnered with us over the years. I’m thankful for the many new relationships that God has brought us into just within the past few months. I’m thankful for the Lord bringing us through the challenge of moving from one location into another, and the favor we’re experiencing in our new location. I’m thankful for the people that God has called out of Wellspring and into new adventures, and I’m thankful for those He’s brought in and those who He will bring in that we haven’t even met yet. I’m thankful for the various leaders across DFW that are praying and believing for the Greatest Awakening. I’m thankful for my Wellspring family that gathers week after week to wage in spiritual warfare and pray in the harvest. I’m thankful for God’s faithful love and His pleasure and His continuing presence. I’m going to keep going, thanking Him each step forward until I’m bouncing into the future.
As we draw near to completing 2022 and beginning 2023, mark your calendar for our upcoming meetings. Wellspring Live is meeting this coming Saturday and two Saturdays in December. In 2023, we’ll kick off the year with our annual fast from sunset January 7th to sunset January 14th. I believe the theme is Let Incense Arise. We’re going to saturate the atmosphere with the sweet aroma of surrender, dedication, prayer, and praise. It’s still more than a month away but I’m getting excited. I’M SO THANKFUL TO OUR AMAZING HOLY FATHER!!!
