Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 [New Living Translation]
The Bible teaches us over and over again that “thankfulness” is an important key. It says in Psalm 100 that we enter His gates with thanksgiving. Gratitude is the password to opening doors in your life.
Isn’t it interesting that the typical response to someone saying “Thank you” is “You’re welcome.” When we’re thankful, other people will welcome us. If we’re ungrateful, we will constantly see doors shutting. Are you praying for doors to open in your life, doors of opportunity, doors of relationship, doors of favor… Begin with gratitude.
Someone may say, but I don’t have anything to be grateful for until the doors open. Wrong. 1 Thessalonians says be thankful in all circumstances.
This week let’s make gratitude a priority and let’s verbalize it as much as possible.
