UNPUSHABLE

I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me.

Psalm 118:13 ESV

We all experience many different pressures in this life, and at times the pressure can seem so intense that we no longer have the strength to stand. The Hebrew actually says, “Pushing, you pushed me to cast me down.” Sometimes the world gives us an uncomfortable nudge that throws us off balance, but we can quickly catch ourselves, correct, and keep going. Then other times, it feels like our circumstances are violently shoving and shoving and shoving us down. But the Lord helps!

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.

Psalm 118:6-9 ESV

You and your abilities and your natural resources can’t help you in times of violent pushing. Other people, even wealthy and powerful people, can’t help you. These are all distractions. You have the Lord on your side. Why reach out for anything else? Take refuge in Him, your victorious and triumphant Heavenly Father. Abide in Him. He is unpushable.

Seeking His face!
