In our weekly Higher Ramblings podcast, Luna and I talked about earthquakes and eclipses. Since our earthquake experience in Japan on January 1, we’ve seen the Lord continue to do some incredible things. The week before last, there was another earthquake in Japan that caused thousands of snakes to erupt from the ground and then die in the sunlight. Talk about a sign! People went out and collected the snake corpses and burned them in bonfires. The Japanese word used for the earthquake means “flipped over and shaken out.” What is the Lord flipping over and shaking out right now, in the Year of the Dragon?

My last update was titled “A Darkness to Be Felt”. When I wrote it back in February, I was unaware of many of the details surrounding the upcoming solar eclipse. My encouragement was that when the tangible darkness comes, the Lord will keep you. I wrote, “The Lord has set you apart. He has made a distinction between you and the world. And when the darkness seems to become tangible and you can feel it in your skin and smell it in the air, all of the people of God will have light where they live.”

Next week, April 8th, all of our nation is anticipating the solar eclipse. This eclipse is surrounded by fear that is incomparable to any other eclipse in our time. Even local governments are declaring emergencies ahead of the event. But I want to say again, HAVE NO FEAR!

“And when you hear about wars and insurrections, do not be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end will not be at once.” Then he said to them, “nation will rise up against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes and famines and plagues in various places. There will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven.“

Luke 21:9-11 LEB

Jesus said there will be great earthquakes and great signs in the heavens. This is all to be expected and to accelerate as we draw closer to the end, but He also said, “Do not be terrified.” In Luke 21:28, He says, “But when these things begin to happen, stand up straight and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near!” Sounds like He’s saying to take up our positions of worship. In the midst of the earthquakes and eclipses, lift up your hands and worship the Lord!

God is our refuge and strength, a very sufficient help in troubles. Therefore we will not fear though the earth change, and though the mountains totter into the midst of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though mountains shake with its surging water.

Psalms 46:1-3 LEB

With all of these signs increasing, it is time to worship and pray. Worship the Rock of our salvation and pray that the people of our nation will repent and turn wholeheartedly to Jesus as Savior and Lord. He is working to get our attention before the Age of Grace comes to a close. This morning I wrote the following in my journal:

Psalms 95:1-2,6-11 LEB — 1 Come, let us sing for joy to Yahweh; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; with songs let us shout joyfully to him. 6 Come in, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our maker. 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Today if you will hear his voice: 8 “Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, 9 when your ancestors tried me. They put me to the test, even though they had seen my work. 10 For forty years I loathed that generation, and said, ‘They are a people whose heart wanders. And my ways they do not know.’ 11 Therefore I swore in my anger, ‘They shall surely not enter into my rest.’”
Do you hear the call to worship? The voice of the Lord is beckoning us. It is time to sing, shout, bow down, and kneel before Yahweh, our Maker, our God, and our Shepherd. Today, hear His voice!
Yahweh is moving in increasing signs for all the world to see. We are in the great shaking and a cosmic call to repentance. Even yesterday another devastating 7.4 earthquake hit Taiwan. More will come as the Lord flips and shakes out.
Luke 9:41a LEB — So Jesus answered and said, “O unbelieving and perverted generation! How long will I be with you and put up with you?”
How long? This can also be translated as, “Until when?” The eclipse taking place on April 8th is a clear sign to our nation to repent. The Spirit of God is saying, “Turn from your dead works and toward faith in Yeshua, Yahweh Saves!”
Will we be a loathed generation with hard hearts, an unbelieving and perverted generation? Or will we turn? Will we cast off our pursuit of lifeless things and come under the umbrella of Jesus Christ’s blood as our Passover Lamb. Just as Nineveh was given 40 days to repent, so are we entering into a call to turn. Will we heed the invitation of Christ? Great days of grace lay ahead if our hearts will cease wandering and if we will seek to know His ways.
Luke 9:60 LEB — But he said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead! But you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

Seeking His face!
