The Advocating Ekklésia
This Saturday, June 24th, we celebrate the historic day the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade. This wonderful victory came through the passionate service of multitudes of prayer warriors and frontline advocates. For years men and women have sought diligently to save children from being slaughtered in the womb, and this was a great and miraculous breakthrough. But the work is not done. This is a campaign that will continue until Christ returns, and the worst thing that someone can do after winning a battle is slide into comfort and complacency. Keep praying! Keep advocating!
One of the definitions for “advocate” at dictionary.com is “a person who pleads for or on behalf of another; intercessor”. Advocacy and intercession go hand in hand. They work together to bring down demonic strongholds so that then we can step into the natural and make real change on behalf of others.
Join us on Saturday as we hear Carolyn Barry, founder of Restore Ministry (iamrestored.net), speak about the Advocating Ekklésia. Restore has been on the frontline in bringing inner healing and post abortive recovery to women and men. They are also continually shining the spotlight and bringing awareness on current LIFE topics and concerns.
7pm Wednesday, June 28th, Wellspring will be joining other Rowlett churches for prayer and worship. Freedom Place Church is hosting this event. Come ready to intercede and advocate for the city of Rowlett and for the DFW Metroplex. This event will take the place of our regular Thursday evening prayer, so we will not be meeting that evening.
